There’s tremendous power in the words-never-written.
Some wield the power of novelty: a term coined in the moment to mean precisely what it must, cutting like a scalpel with perfectly honed meaning.
Then there are those others. Words-never-written older than the trick of writing—older, sometimes, than language itself—passed down from lips to ear without ever touching ground on any page.
My heart yearns for these oldest words of all. Listen to the wisest witches, and they may share a scrap of such lore with you.
Each one is a blessing. Each brings me closer to remembering something long lost and sorely missed.
I almost remember myself again.
